Welcome!

Listening. Learning. Leading Together.

A Message from Superintendent Amber Clark

It is an incredible honor to serve as the Superintendent of Delta County School District 50J.

Since arriving in Delta County, I have been humbled by the warmth, kindness, and pride I have experienced throughout our schools and communities. It is clear that this district is supported by people who care deeply about our students and believe in their schools and communities.

As I begin this new chapter alongside you, I want to share a simple commitment.

My first priority is to listen.

Over the coming months, I will spend time in our schools, visit with staff, meet students and families, connect with community members, and continue my Listening Tour across Delta County. Before setting long-term priorities, I believe it is important to understand the people, traditions, strengths, and aspirations that make our district unique.

You will hear me use one word often:

Consistency

To me, consistency means leading with integrity, communicating openly, following through on commitments, and making thoughtful decisions grounded in what is best for students. It also means honoring the many things our district already does well while listening for opportunities to grow.

Great schools are built over time by dedicated people, and Delta County has much to be proud of. My responsibility is to understand what is working, strengthen those successes, and work together to improve where we can do even better.

I believe the best ideas come from listening. Our students, staff, families, and communities bring valuable perspectives that help shape our future. Together, we can build on the strong foundation already in place and continue creating opportunities for every student to learn, grow, and succeed.

Thank you for welcoming me into this remarkable community. I look forward to getting to know you, learning from you, and working alongside you in the months and years ahead. I am honored to serve as your Superintendent, and I am excited to see what we will accomplish together.

With gratitude,

Amber Clark Superintendent

Together we can . . . every student, every day!
